Embrun Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1974 as a mixed practice by Dr. Gilles Gratton and was located at 1110 Notre-Dame Street in Embrun, Ontario. The clinic was subsequently sold to Dr. Marc Levesque in June 1996, and in December 1999, the offices moved to a new building at 651 Notre-Dame Street.
In 2008, the team expanded when Dr. Steve Dorais joined to provide farm animal medical services. The following year, Dr. Lucie Décoeur joined the team. Five years later, the three veterinarians became equal partners in the company, which would henceforth be known as Embrun Veterinary Services.
In 2020, Dr. Dorais and Dr. Décoeur became the sole owners of the clinic, which was renamed East Ontario Veterinary Services (EOVS)—a name that better reflects the region’s producers. In 2021, Dr. Stéphanie Bourgon graduated from University of Guelph and Nicole Blaser Veterinary Technician graduated from Collebe Boréal joined the team. In 2025, Dr. Marc Levesque hung up his ultrasound probe and entered a well-deserved retirement. That same year, a young veterinarian, Dr. Caroline Pasquier, joined the team. It is safe to say that Dr. Dorais is now in the minority!
In 2026, the practice expanded when Dr. Luc Besner, a veterinarian specializing in embryo transfer, and Noémie Meunier-Proulx, a Veterinary Technician joined the EOVS team. Soon, an experienced veterinarian, Dr. Chelsea Allan, will also be joining the clinic.
Since 2011, a second office has been operating in Casselman at 100 Laflèche Boulevard. Our two clinics offer the same laboratory, sample shipping, and medication sales services to all our clients.
Best quality veterinary services in Eastern Ontario. The team is professional and dedicated.
